The course is made up of 8 Learning Objects and an accompanying Company Profile which total 30 hours of learning time. Topics covered include:

- Customers and My Approach to Them in Work
- My Employer's Company
- Dress and Personal Appearance
- Health and Safety in the Workplace
- My Place of Work and Conditions
- Links Between School-work and the World of Work
- Rules and Regulations at my Work Experience Location
The course is available on a CD-ROM for use as a standalone application, deployment on a web server or for use in a SCORM 2004 compliant Virtual Learning Environment.
The Company Profile
The Company Profile contains information, videos and animations about the virtual work place. Throughout the course, learners are encouraged to explore the Company Profile to find out the information they need to complete the Learning Objects.
This encourages learning by investigation and allows a more immersive experience for the learner.
