Drag and Drop Pairs Interaction

The drag and drop pairs interaction is a content block that allows you to create pairs of objects that the user has to match by dragging one half of the pair to the other. This interaction is very similar to drag and drop matching, but is laid our differently. This pairs interaction places greater restrictions on how much text can be used in the draggable and static items.

The bottom pane in the interaction will contain one half of each pair. These items are static and cannot be dragged. The top pane contains the draggable items that will need to be dragged by the user from top to bottom to make pairs.

  • Decide if the interaction is to be marked or not and check the check box at the top of the form if it is to be marked

Note: If the interaction is marked, the user's score will be saved if the courseware is being used in a virtual learning environment. The user will not be able to repeat the interaction as it will be disabled after the first attempt. The user is given one opportunity to complete marked activities.

  • Enter interaction instructions
  • Then add the text for a pair of items
  • Add a new pair of items by selecting 'Add New Pair'
  • Remove a pair of items by selecting 'Remove Pair'
  • Decide how many attempts you want the user to have. Use the dropdown menu at the bottom of the form to make your selection
  • Save or cancel your entries using the on screen buttons
