Dedicated to exploring the benefits of learning and technology, Salford CLCs are establishing themselves as Salford Local Authority's foremost experts on contemporary online teaching and learning activities. Actively engaged with all schools and compulsory education agencies in the Authority, Salford CLCs represent a "best of breed" organisation adding real value to teachers and learners in Salford.
CDSM and Salford CLCs have worked together since May 2004 to develop both learning platform services and interactive multimedia learning content. The commercial partnership has successfully implemented Teachers ShareZone, a content repository and evaluation tool and GCSE English Online. The partnership is currently trialling My Learning Space, an online portfolio application, in 20 different organisations across the UK. The partnership is an extremely productive example of a public private partnership.
