ACCESSIBILITY - POLICY AND GUIDELINES CREATION

The existing Web Accessibility Guidelines created by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) are difficult to understand and may not relate well to your organisational practice.

Some of the guidelines may conflict with your existing policies, or may be interpreted in different ways by different members of your organisation.

The confusion surrounding guidelines and legislation can lead to various inconsistencies in your approach to creating accessible content.

Site assessment

CDSM can help you to assess your existing website alongside your existing policies and find ways of meeting accessibility criteria that is in line with other organisational requirements.

Our web policies will help your authoring staff to apply a consistent approach to meeting W3C guidelines which are frequently criticised for being open to interpretation.

Our experience in working with National pan-disabilities charity Shaw Trust informs us of the specific requirements of a user with disabilities, allowing us to help you to make the right policy decisions for your organisation.
